Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Dr. Fong Yang, an accredited Ministry of Health IVF clinician, has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynaecology for the past 18 years. He is also one of the rare few IVF clinicians who treats both male and female infertility. He was the first in Singapore to perform percutaneous sperm aspiration for men with obstructive azoospermia – a condition whereby sperm cannot be produced due to obstruction of the sperm ducts.
Prior to setting up his private practice in 2002, Dr. Fong was a consultant at Singapore General Hospital and Changi General Hospital where he served in the O&G and Andrology clinics. He was also active in the Centre for Assisted Reproduction in SGH and in their in-vitro fertilization (IVF) programmes. Besides, male and female infertility, Dr Fong also has special interest in recurrent and early pregnancy loss or miscarriages.
Dr Poh Beow Kiong is a board-certified consultant urologist accredited with The Singapore Medical Council Registry of Specialists (Urology). He is a consultant urologist accredited with most of the private hospitals in Singapore including:
Dr Poh graduated from the National University of Singapore and went on to start his surgical training in Singapore. After completing his surgical training, he was awarded The Masters in Medicine (Surgery) degree from the National University of Singapore. He was also accepted as a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Dr Poh subsequently went on to advance his training in Urology.
After graduating from The Advanced Specialist Training in Urology, Dr Poh travelled to North America to further his training in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS/Keyhole surgery) in urological cancers and urinary stones.
Dr Poh pursued his urology sub-speciality fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) at The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, where he trained under world-renowned endourologist Dr Ben Chew and MIS surgeon Professor Ryan Paterson in the fields of Advanced Endourology and Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery.
During his fellowship training, Dr Poh also received training in Laparo-Endoscopic Single Site (LESS) surgery at the University of Southern California, USA, under the guidance of Professor Inderbir Gill.
Dr Poh was also part of the Prostate Cancer Screening Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) panel of experts tasked by Singapore’s Ministry of Health to draft The Prostate Cancer Screening Guidelines of Singapore, which was published in 2009.
In the field of teaching, Dr Poh has trained many urologists from Indonesia, Myanmar, India, Bangladesh and the Philippines. He was also involved in teaching urology residents of The University of British Columbia’s (Canada) Urologic Sciences Residency Programme. Dr Poh currently serves as a Clinical Teacher and Examiner of the Yong Loo Lin Medical Faculty, National University of Singapore. Dr Poh is also active in the training of young urologists in the field of laparoscopic urologic cancer surgeries as well as minimally invasive urinary stone surgeries.
Dr Poh currently serves in the Executive Committee of the Singapore Urological Association. He was also the Scientific Chairman of the recently concluded UROFAIR 2012, an annual International/Regional Urologic Congress that is attended by internationally renowned urologists.
FAMS (Plastic Surgery)
Dr Wong Chin Ho is a consultant Plastic Surgeon accredited by the Ministry of Health of Singapore with sub-specialty training in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. In 2000, he graduated as one of the tops students in his class from the Medical Faculty of the National University of Singapore. He then completed his Basic Surgical Training in General Surgery in 2004 and went on to complete his Advance Surgical Training in Plastic Surgery at the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the Singapore General Hospital in 2008.
Dr Wong has completed multiple fellowships in Aesthetic Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery, having done fellowships across different regions like Asia (Taiwan), Australia and USA. In 2010, he was the first recipient of the International Fellowship Grant from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). This prestigious scholarship from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (the leading professional organisation of plastic surgeons specialising in cosmetic plastic surgery in the USA) is awarded to the most promising international plastics surgeons, giving the recipient the opportunity to work with and learn from the best plastic surgeons in the USA.

Besides his passion for aesthetic surgery, Dr Wong believes in guiding the next generation of plastic surgeons. He is also a visiting consultant to the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Singapore General Hospital. He continues to be involved in the management of complex plastic surgical cases while taking on a leadership role in the teaching of young plastic surgeons in his subspecialty of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Surgical Anatomy.
