Dr Lim Swee Teck earned the name Dr. Friendly during his forty-two years of practice in managing children’s dental care over at his clinic in Singapore. He graduated from the University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1965. In 1968, he was appointed as a Research Fellow. Subsequently, he was awarded the National University of Singapore School of Postgraduate Medical Studies scholarship and graduated with a Master of Dental Surgery in 1970.He was further awarded with the prestigious Fulbright Hayes American Scholarship to specialise in Pediatric Dentistry. In 1972, he obtained the Master of Science (Pediatric Dentistry) and the Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry from the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA.
Returning to Singapore in 1972 as the first male specialist in Children’s Dentistry, he joined the Faculty of Dentistry at the National University of Singapore and spearheaded the pediatric dentistry department in the Faculty of Dentistry. Through research and teaching programs, he developed and established the management and the art of communicating with children.
From 2006 to 2009, he recorded his invaluable experiences on pediatric dentistry by authoring “The Healthy Smile Series”, a 12-volume series of books for children aims to impart the importance of oral health care to children. These books were acquired by the National Library Board and made available to the public at its various libraries brunches.

Dr Boey Pui Yunn is a Specialist Orthodontist registered with the Singapore Dental Council. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a record number of 13 academic awards conferred to a graduate, winning prestigious awards like the Most Distinguished Graduate in Dentistry, the Best Clinical Student award, and the University Silver Medal for emerging First in Examination. She was also placed on the Dean’s List every year.
Her interest in braces (orthodontics) led her to pursue a full-time postgraduate program, and she graduated with a Master of Dental Surgery (Orthodontics) degree and a Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She is also a member of the Association of Orthodontists Singapore. Her research interests in orthodontic (braces) cephalometry were presented at numerous international conferences.
Dr Boey’s clinical interests include conventional braces treatment, braces for jaw problems, Invisalign treatment, lingual orthodontics (braces), and modification of growth and eruption for young growing children.

Dr Chong graduated with Honours from the National University of Singapore in 1984. She was the best preclinical and clinical student in her cohort and was awarded the Tratman Medal for being the distinguished graduate in Dentistry; the Hoops Medal for the best student in Operative Dentistry and the University Silver Medal for the best performance at the final BDS examination. Dr Chong proceeded to obtain her MSc. in Conservative Dentistry in 1987, completed the MDS (Operative Dentistry) from the National University of Singapore in 1990 and went on to further pursue a graduate course in Orthodontics at the University of Washington in Seattle, USA. She obtained her MSD in Dentistry and Certificate in Orthodontics in 1995. She became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 1992 and attained her specialist certification in Orthodontics from the Academy in 2003.
Dr Chong is a member of numerous international and local dental and specialist professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, Association of Orthodontists (Singapore), Singapore Dental Association, Association of Aesthetic Dentistry (Singapore) and Prosthodontic Society of Singapore.She has published widely in international and local scientific journals and given presentations at both local and international meetings/conferences. She was also a reviewer for the journal, The Angle Orthodontist.
Dr Chong practices braces treatment for both children and adults, including early interceptive treatment for children. She has special interests in carrying out orthodontic treatment in conjunction with aesthetic and restorative dentistry; utilizing the latest techniques with the low force, self-ligating bracket systems, rand temporary mini-implant assisted anchorage and invisible aligner systems. Her expertise also includes the management of patients with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders who require orthodontia.

Dr Ang Chee Wan graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the National University of Singapore. He also received specialist training in periodontology and graduated with a Master of Dental Surgery (Periodontology Degree). In the same year, he obtained his fellowship in periodontology from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (United Kingdom). He is an accredited specialist in periodontology registered with the Singapore Dental Council. He is a visiting specialist at the Singapore Armed Forces and the National University Hospital and teaches the undergraduate and postgraduate students at National University of Singapore.
As a periodontist, Dr Ang provides a comprehensive range of periodontal therapy. These include gum treatment, bone and gum grafting procedures, aesthetic gum surgery and a full range of dental implant procedures. He has special interests in periodontal plastic surgery, implant dentistry, minimally invasive surgeries and bone regenerative procedures. Through years of intensive training with the operating microscope, he is the first periodontist in the region to incorporate the use of microsurgical techniques in surgery.

Dr Wong completed his BDS degree at the National University of Singapore. His outstanding academic and clinical performance won him 2 university awards: the FAC Oehlers Gold Medal and Terrell Silver Medal. He received specialised training in prosthodontics, which involves three years of post-graduate education and earned his Master’s degree MSD and Certificate in Prosthodontics at the University of Washington, USA.
Dr. Wong is a member of numerous professional organizations. He is Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, USA; Visiting Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore; Committee member of the Cad Cam Workgroup at the National University of Singapore; Sub-committee member of the Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology (GDDI, and Implant and Prosthodontics, at the Centre for Advanced Dental Education at the National University of Singapore; member of the Teaching Faculty at the Global Institute of Dental Education (gIDE), USA; Advisor of the Nobel Biocare Expert Advisory Board; and Global Councilor of the Emerging Leaders Council, of the Foundation for Oral Rehabilitation.
In 2005, Dr. Wong founded T32 Institute for Advanced Continuing Education (ACE) which evolved to T32 Dental Academy in 2008. Today, T32 Dental Academy is a centre dedicated to educating, motivating, stimulating and sharing knowledge with other dental professionals. In 2013, Dr Wong launched Singapore’s first all-in-one dental implant centre – T32 Implant Centre. T32 Implant Centre is the first in South-East Asia to integrate both the Eden Objet 3D Printing System and the Zirkonzahn CAD/CAM System 5-Tec in our clinic for dental implant treatments. This incorporation of advanced digital dentistry allows T32 Implant Centre to provide safer, faster and more efficient dental implant surgeries for its local and international patients alike.
Dr. Wong is currently the Managing Director of T32 Dental Centre Pte Ltd. His practice focuses in all areas of restorative care including Aesthetic dentistry, full mouth reconstruction, fixed, removable and implant prosthodontics.

Dr Tay graduated from the University of Singapore in 1979 with a BDS and later pursued postgraduate training from 1981-1984 at Northwestern University, Chicago, where he received a Certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science degree. He attained his specialist certification in Prosthodontics from the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, in 1988. He was a tenured full-time faculty member in National University of Singapore (NUS), from 1984 till 1993, where he was Senior Lecturer & Consultant in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, NUS.
Dr Tay is widely known in the prosthodontic world for his expertise in full-mouth occlusal rehabilitation using the N.U.S. treatment philosophy and has built a strong clinical reputation for the diagnosis and successful management of patients with Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD), chronic orofacial pain and headache. He is also a pioneer in Dental Sleep Medicine and Oral Appliance Therapy for Sleep-Disordered Breathing (SDB) which he manages in close collaboration with a team of sleep professionals. Dr Tay has been an Academic Advisor to the International Sleep Academy since its inception.
He has held leadership positions in numerous national and international professional organisations and was previously the President of the Prosthodontic Society of Singapore; Chairman of the Chapter of Dental Surgeons, AM (S’pore); Chairman, Specialist Certification Subcommittee on Dental Specialties and Convenor, Committee for Advanced Training in Prosthodontics, AM (S’pore). His continued participation in academia has been in the role of external examiner for PhD and MSc research projects conducted in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, National University of Singapore.His personal mission is to raise awareness amongst dentists of sleep, pain and airway issues that must be factored into treatment planning and the significant role on profession can play in the interdisciplinary management of sleep-related breathing disorders like snoring, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)and upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (UARS)

Dr Ong is the director of C & A Dental Studio. He is a specialist oral surgeon with over 20 years of clinical experience. After graduating from National University of Singapore, he furthered his training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and graduated with a Master of Dental Surgery. He has a special interest in pain management, and had completed a master degree and doctorate in this field from University of Wales and University of Newcastle upon Tyne respectively. Dr Ong is also a fellow of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of England, Ireland, Glasgow, and Australia.
Dr Ong is an adjunct senior lecturer in the Faculty of Dentistry at National University of Singapore and a visiting consultant at National University Hospital. He is a certified specialist in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery by Singapore Dental Council. He is also certified in the use of intravenous sedation and laser dentistry in U.S.A. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and American Society of Laser Medicine & Surgery respectively. He has vast experiences in all the surgical aspects of dentistry, e.g. dental implants, cosmetic, wisdom teeth, pathology, trauma, reconstructive, pain and anxiety management.
